thats not right belken, this location is the old joint defence facility Narungar (JDFN) just outside of woomera, SA. And the island that you are talking about is actually in the middle of salt flats (though I can't remember the name of it)

Correct - Nurrungar - not Pine Gap. Island lagoon was the spot close - almost posted that too - have a look at that (S 31° 24.283 E 136° 56.517 - this is the Cache Zone 39 - zoom out from this and look at the dot in the lake, then zoom in). I think this could have fooled a few ....
