:D Just thought I'd share this with you all... :D

I have been experimenting with http://multimap.com which appears to be a great source of detailed maps for most of the world...

Usually its pretty good, even if the Australian map data is a little dated. However, this time, it really got confused when I zoomed in on Sydney...
This is the map I got:
Seconds later it was OK again... Weird!!!

I always found Sydney a difficult place to drive around, no wonder I kept getting lost :)

Kinda looks like your PC had a brain fart and used all its memory up drawing the map, and you maybe scrolled at the same time causing a multi wipe effect..
We've all seen this at one time or another..

Windows to thank for this great effect !

Usage of multimap to plot caches...

Hi Rats & everyone else...

After much trial and error, I have managed to figure out how to plot caches on a map with http://Multimap.com...

Use the link: http://multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lon= ... height=600 and substitute the lat/lon coordinates of your choosing in the format DD.ddddd i.e. degrees and decimals of degrees...

So far, I haven't been able to get a map bigger than 700x600 pixels... the site seems to have some protection against this... I'm sure that people who are more savvy than I will be able to figure out a way of improving this...

To those of you who missed the other messages.... this site provides street/track level mapping for the whole of Australia (yes... even outside the cities)... Well worth a look...

Any chance we can automate this within Cheatisearch Ideology???? Pretty please???? :)

p.s. I originally found this site thanks to someone who calls themself Salam Pax - an Iraqi living in Baghdad who was reporting his / her view of the war from the inside... My thanks to him/her and I hope that he/she is still safe and well... See http://dearraed.blogspot.com/ for further details...

Scary to think we have passed along every one of the roads in your distorted map while searching for geocaches. The general pattern is what my backtrack record often looks like after reaching a typical ground zero.
