Me too! I log DNFs for me as a record of where I have been, more so than for the Cache Owner.

If I can't find a cache I generally log a DNF. I then decide whether to leave it on the unfound list or add it to my Ignore Lists. I've had a CO email me with instructions on where to stand & what to do to find a cache, so that was good as it was a long way from home. Each time I travelled through Miles (QLD) I'd look without success. At one stage I was the 4th best in NSW at not finding caches however have moved off the ranks thanks to Locationless caches. My DNF rate of 10.5% increases to 14.7% if I deduct my Locationless finds from the total.

I'm more likely to post a DNF now that I can log on the go with my phone. I have a tendency to head out and do a heap at once so logging took time once I got home and often I'd do the finds first and by then was over logging so stopped.
Funny I saw this just after I posted a DNF for one I was hunting yesterday.
