meeting new cachers

I liked the dust and grasshopper-guts on the front of the car the most.
It was great to meet people and get to know the wonderful city of Wagga! Even found a few caches too!!

The smiles on the tired faces of the committee membes at 1200 on Monday, and of course the wonderful weather and those magnificent firreworks.

I liked the look on the face of the bloke at the car wash when I dropped our geochariot off this morning for a well earned bath!

I liked that they catered for the kids as well as the adults. I liked that they organised meals, games and entertainment.

And how amazing were those bonfires!??!

Yes, the smiles on the Committee were genuine and the entire Committee enjoyed the experience too.We finally got the last item cleaned and removed today at 3 pm and we locked the front gate.One of the most relaxing things i did over the 4 days was a walk around the camp sites either Friday or Saturday just saying "hello ' to all the campers with Mr Coffee.We were so impressed with all the flags and banners and lights hanging from tents plus the behaviour .Everyone was within their grid spots and the outside fenceline campers were neat and tidy too.

Thanks organizers!!! You did a fantastic job!

It took us 5 and a half hours to get there (only one cache on the way up from Melbourne) and 10 hours to get home (18 caches on the way out of Wagga Wagga!), enough said - loved it!

Everything - it made two relatively inexperienced cachers determined to try to live with this addiction
I must say I was smiling to myself that we drove 2 and a bit hours down the highway from home (Yass) only to find ourselves standing near a pod (?clutch, ?mob) of ACT cachers at the bonfire on Sat night we would normally live no more than 45min away from, and who we would otherwise still only be seeing as caching names on log books. It was great to finally put faces to the names!
We (Little Red Shoes and I) were so impressed with the organisation, the events and competitions, we can't wait for the next one to be announced - though we figure given the flogging all the caches got around Wagga over the couple of days we were there, the city (and the committee ) might need a period of rest (like a couple of years) before OzMega would be held there again.
Can't stop raving about it...
And then there were the fireworks...

I liked the activities, the people I met, the relaxing drinks in late afternoon after exploring Wagga Wagga (and finding a cache or two ), the fireworks...Oh! everything really, including finding caches on the Hume H'way back to Canberra and meeting other Mege-eventees along the way.

We loved - WAGGA!
I have been through here plenty of times, but have never spent extended time here.
Everything good has been said about the event and the committee, but the town and surrounding suburbs are great,
I came across minimal rubbish etc. And found so many great and clever caches.
This town has everything commercial and recreational you could ever want.
Even the muggles were kind, helpful and friendly. Not to mention the local support for the event.
The local cachers and inhabitants are privileged and should be proud to live in such a great community.
