Oregon 300 bulk waypoint delete

I am running a Garmin Oregon 300 and with the geognome race changing so much, I got the great idea of not pushing my pocket query through GSAK, and instead just copied it straight to >garmin\gpx\*.gpx.
Now I noticed they all pop up in my 'waypoint manager' and now I have no more room to save any of my own waypoints.
So I removed the gpx file, only to find all the waypoints still on my GPSR.
I want to get rid of all of the moving caches out of my GPSR, and re-acess how to properly manage the file.
However, I don't want to just use the 'bulk delete' function as I also have a mutitude of saved, solved, and future waypoints and caches stored as well as the work related waypoints.
Is there a way I can quickly delete a multitude of waypoints from my device? I was doing it one by one manually for about half an hour, but I have not made much progress.
please help a stupid person.

I do not have the mapsource program.
thankyou

Hi. The Mapsource and/or Basecamp programs for Garmins will make life a whole lot easier in this regard. They both do pretty much the same job of organising your user data, but go about it slightly differently. :)

Did this work? It looks like a very elegant solution to me!
