This from Kootingal post office(near Tamworth) less than 1 KLM from my local exchange which is more than 50 mi to sydney.:lol: despite what it says in the image

ADSL2+ connection with OnTheNet. Seems about right on a 24000/1000 connection. The modem reports ~7000 kb/s connection.
Sydney was the closest server :shock:

Same machine as before running Optusnet with Engin router.

1.5 download / 256 upload through XP on the home computer-

This is the Firefox with torrents off.

:D 3rd fastest Upload

Windows XP with IInet ADSL+2 on the northern outskirts of Sydney
After all of this bad weather we had a few issues with our phone line and the end result was we had to end up getting a new junction box fitted to the house,

since then the Internet speeds have made a big jump.

The ping is quicker but nothing else is really different,

I don't know why the upload speed is down 'perhaps congestion?'

But it sure shows what happens when you clean up the wires where they connect to the house,

Not bad from home considering I used to be on a 128k ISDN service but now ADSL (allegedly the fastest I'll get due to distance)
