Where on the site can I download GCA GPX files?

The site doesn't appear to be intuitive enough for me to find it easily, and the FAQ directs me to http://geocaching.com.au/gpxbeta which gives a page not found error & instructs me to use the menu bar to navigate to the appropriate page.

If you click on the available caches link for any state and scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a link titled Download as: GPX RSS.
click GPS.

Thanks for the info Riblit, much appreciated.

My points are still valid though

1. The site is not intuitive enough.
2. The FAQ is incorrect
3. The Menu Bar doesn't contain any reference to Downloading GPX files.

i guess on the main screen when you place the mouse over the "Find" icon and you get the drop down menu one of the selections could be "GPX" which takes you to a page where it has a GPX file for each state and country so you just click on the state and start downloading the file.

maybe even have a picture of a map where you just click on the state to download that states GPX file for example the green map of aus at the bottom left of this page. www.weatherchannel.com.au

But those are just some idea's, there isn't anything wrong with the current layout except the GPX download icon is sort of hidden in the bottom corner of the screen.

When I try to download gpx files, (for South Oz) all I get is 10 caches when I open GSAK & open the file. Is it possible to D/L all or even just ones close to home or near a particular town?
I am only a newbie with one find so far.

Waky53, firstly congratulations on your first find.

There are some caches listed exclusively here, & others listed on other sites. The reference to those on this site are a record of logs/stats etc only. Downloading GPX files from this site will only give you caches listed on this site. To obtain GPX files of other caches you will have to visit a different website. try http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/

or alternatively you can fork out some dollars to that other site, Geocaching.com.

hope this helps & welcome to the Sport/Hobby/Obsession/addiction :)

we really like the map idea! is there anyone who would like to put together a clickable map of australia that could be used?

faq: the FAQ currently on the wiki is just a pointer to the old faq. cached, is it possible to fix this up?

(interestingly, the FAQ is not a very popularly viewed page! http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Special:Popularpages )

probably about 300x300? your thoughts?

we've moved the download links to the top of the caches page to make it easier to find

http://www.bom.gov.au has a good clickable map, maybe we could "adapt" it? :)

No NZ :-(
I think the one that's on the front page will suffice for now.
