https://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA27404

Archived GeoArt caches (include the whole series if they are all archived) are not included in this challenge.

This was DEZ055's challenge request:
if a cache is Archived in the series, then it doesn’t count toward the number of caches needed to complete the series)
However he did not include that on his cache page, so I will add it to the challenge checker to catch that.

a little further.

Does this mean:
- if an entire geoart series has been found but is now archived it is not eligible, or
- if 1 or more caches in the geoart series is archived so you CAN'T find those, but you go and find the rest, it is eligible, or
- only fully compete geoart series with no archived caches counts?

Ask DEZ055, it's his challenge.

The way it's been coded.
We identify all of the the caches for a GeoArt Series which have not been archived.
If there are 0 caches which are not archived, then the series is excluded from the challenge.
We then get all of the finds you have on caches in the series which aren't archived.
If the number of find on the caches that aren't archived matches the total number of caches that aren't archived, you get the code.

Don't try and read too much into the challenge. Archived caches aren't included. If the whole series is archived, well, it isn't included.

Having just completed another great GeoArt and found the challenge cache GA27404, I find there is a GeoArt series that has not been captured in the checker. The series Hearts in Hartz GeoArt has not been included. I checked each cache page and there is a public tag added, so not sure why it hasn't been included. A glitch somewhere, can the faeries please check as may aid future finders.

There is no glitch.

The CO must be the one who tags the caches. If we allowed anyone to tag geoart caches for this challenge, all I would need to do is tag 2 caches in a series of (say) 20, find the two and make the claim.

When it's the CO that makes the tags, the CO would tag them all, forcing the finder to find all (say) 20 to make the claim.

If OldSaint wants the geoart series included, then he need to tag them appropriately.

Thanks for checking.
I wasn't asking to tag them as they are already tagged appropriately.
All 12 have heart geoart on them as the public tag name so just wanted to know why not included. Thanks

Had this error come up when trying to clone a cache to make a series:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function gca_update_cache_zone_type_table() in /var/www/site/gca/include/gca_cache.php:508 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/site/gca/docroot/my/cache/clone.php(150): gca_cache->put() #1 /var/www/site/gca/docroot/my/cache/index.php(28): require_once('/var/www/site/g...') #2 {main} thrown in /var/www/site/gca/include/gca_cache.php on line 508
Can someone investigate, please

Using a Macbook with software MacOS Sonoma version 14.1.1 (23B81), accessing via Safari Version 17.1 (19616.2.9.11.7)

Thanks,

Should be fixed now. :D

The public and private tags drop-down boxes on the GCA pages for Groundspeak caches don't seem to work.

The data is downloaded but the box is left as style="display: none;" so it isn't visible

Thanks for that. It was part of a code refactor from some time ago that was not applied to Non-GCA cache listings. It should be fixed now.
