There looks to be a few nice free camping spots around Sofala from what I've read and heard, and I have visit the one at Mudgee before - very nice.

Quick note for anyone looking to head out Mudgee way - Wineries. There are lots of great wineries there with free tasting. Well worth staying the night.

I have just completed this very nice trail.

Definitely takes 2 good long days to do it.

Might even be better to spread it out over 3 days like we did.
