I cannot get into options menu of cachemonkey to configure it.
I click on File then Options but nothing happens.
Any ideas anybody?

I would make sure you have the latest JRE from Sun to start with.

... and if that doesn't fix it, maybe the config file (cachemonkey.prop) is corrupt. Try renaming it or moving it to a temporary folder and copying in a clean one from the zip file. If that doesn't work either, try a completely fresh install. If that works, you could then try putting your original 'prop' file back, or just type in all your options again.

I have a simular prob
no matter how many times I try a fresh install the best I get is the program up but no file options or any main options across the top.
My version of CM works fine at work but not at all at home.

Have tried all the suggestions but Cachemonkey refuses to work on my mighty P150.
Back to the bad old days of manual downloading
Might have to wait for the program to be re written.
Are there any similar programs available?

Get yourself a Premium Membership on the secondary site and you can generate .LOC, .GPX and Mobipocket files with all sorts of criteria that get emailed to you on days you specify.

I have "All in NSW", "All in NZ" and "Found in NSW in the last week" running once or twice a week, for example.

Once you've got the GPX or LOC file, you can use EasyGPS to transfer them to the GPSr, or GPXspinner to turn them into html pages.

And you get the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting the site that helped make this sport what it is today.

Hmmm. From what you said at first, Derriger, CacheMonkey is starting up ok but you can't get into the Options menu. Smurf had a problem on her new HP laptop with the menus generally. Turned out the built-in mouse would only work in a tiny area near the top left (?) corner of the menu box, not the whole available area. Don't think she tried it with a normal mouse though. You could try clicking in different parts of the menu area to see if that works. Does the menu change colour when you click it?

I have solved the problem with cache monkey.
I have just been given a computer - AMD K6 500 with 256Mb ram.
Cache monkey works perfectly on this computer.
This computer is so fast compared with my ex P100 I can't believe it.
