There you go - on the cache-page you can see what kind of equipment you'll need. And yes - I did order 2 Chirp.

Good example how you shouldn't set-up your Chirp-cache.
Just asking a question, can this cache be found without the necessary equipment? i.e. Do the waypoints have paper based co-ordinates at them?

I just spoke to JA-GPS. The Chirp has not yet been released in Australia, and they do not have any idea of when it will be. Has anyone considered buying any from the US? I have already come up with some great ways of using these in my pending caches!

It must if my understanding of the use of the new attribute is correct.
If you can only find the cache with compatible Garmins, the cache type was required to be "mystery".
This one seems like a multi.

This cache has sort of religious overtones, and I think the CHIRP simulates divine intervention to assist the pilgrim in his search...

how useful is this thing anyway?
- from the 'chirp tips' page
* Do not mount the chirp inside a metal container.
* Do not bury the chirp.
* Do not put the chirp in water.
* A compatible Garmin device should detect the chirp within 10 m. For maximum transmission range, allow the chirp to have an unobstructed view in all directions.
So you can't put it in a Ammo tin or an eclipse mint container, and you have to get within 10m of it to receive the details.
To me under the current rules, I may as well just put a sign up within 10m of my cache telling people that that have almost found it.

If they do not work well inside a metal container will they work inside a car? Perhaps you can hook it to the radio aerial for better transmission.

There is someone over in the US using one as a trial car TB at the moment, appears to be working okay.
