If you were up in Brissy you could have been watching the World Championships for 1/5 scale model cars. Apparently the weather was good as was the racing... Just another hobby!

LOL. Yeah. I sometimes respond to the odd "Are you going to watch the game tonight?" With a "Nope. Not really into Tennis." (Or insert any random sport which is not having a Grand Final.

That's pretty funny, I am going to have to remember that!

Getting home and checking the scores (so I don't sound totally uninterested at work on Monday) - sounds like it was bit of a one sided farce anyway.

Well today I am off to the "Meet the Moneydork" eventcache near the Brisbane airport by myself as all other members of THENANKS have chosen the NRL Grand Final!

I'm sure there'll be plenty of interesting geocachers there who will be able to converse about more than just football.

Just ignore ALL ball sports. Or when asked a question, just say the game was never the same since the Perth Broncos lost in 1998. That should confuse anybody.

These grand finals do have a use!

I well remember looking for a cache during the AFL grand final last year. It wasn't an easy find and it was beside a small sporting venue, inside which I could hear the game in its final throes. I was wishing like crazy that it wouldn't end and people spill out before I found the cache!

In the end I didn't find the cache as it had gone missing.

But I am not sure who was more anticipating the end of the game - them or me!

I am used to being embarrased

by Mrs Nanks not being interested in the greatest game of all ( cricket in the summer though ) but you others are a disgrace
