You're not going to let a bit of water stop you caching??
Try some of the more urban caches that way you won't have to put up with the leaches and wet bush.
Go on get your feet wet and remember to take the soap and towel and get your free shower. Not much is free these days.
Give it a go it won't hurt.

Rain....

Post by swampgecko » 19 April 03 2:38 pm

I have done quite a few caches in the rain, always fun... just need to plan for it. I always make sure I have a raincoat or unbrella handy. Not to keep me dry but to make sure I can keep the cache dry while doing the log book and swaps.

There is a sign near my latest cache warning of rapid water rises in the event of rain. While planning for urban caches in the rain, pack a blow up boat.

Just use our motto: The worst in nature, the best in us.

heheh yea. One of the reasons was to take my 5yo son with me to get us both out of the house. I don't think his mum would agree to me having him out in the cold rain ;)

Brilliant idea Biggles Bear! ;)

Saw a couple of your logs on the lakes run up to Adelaide. We were about 5 days behind you by the looks of the log books. Will post all my logs in a day or so when the email backlog dissipates and the hard disk makes room for a thousand photos.

Ah yes, it was your logs on Elvis and Abandoned armour that I followed you, we must have tag teamed somewhere in Adelaide.

Weather was fantastic, especially compared to what I heard was happening in Sydney (pretty ordinary).

How appropriate for today (in Sydney and surrounds). Finally some constant rain after how long - I look forward to the rain, particularly for urbans. You can wander around urban areas with a dog, scouting and placing caches without much interference.

In the Sydney CBD I find it a big plus to have a bit of light rain to clear out the muggles. Nothing better than an 11:00 am and a 3:00pm sortie in the mist ........
