Thanks to geocache placers

Post by NawtyTheCanuck » 13 February 06 7:40 am

A big thank-you to geocache placers in southeast Australia.

Isquba and I relied on you to make our Travel Bug Tour special and you did not let us down. Your geocaches took us to some really amazing places.

Our plan was to visit an average of 5 geocaches per day. When we saw how difficult you make your finds, we had to be happy with fewer. We are pleased with the 180 finds and we will not mention the DNFÂ’s or the geocaches sites we visited but did not have time to search for the prize.

With much editing we were able to fit the videos, images, music and narration onto one CD. Interested in seeing where our epic journey stopped? Visit this web site www3.sympatico.ca/renates/IsqubaAndNawty/

There is a link to a Kodak album there to let you see the full size images. Signing in to view the album is optional.

Again,
Thank-you

When the posspet boys and i were on our South East SA trip, we noticed that you had been through a few days before us.

Some of the places you took your hire car were rough!!! They were great for 4WD's but a 2WD would have been an interesting ride :D but hey when you gotta do what you gotta do just to get that cache.

Hope you had a great trip :D

Q: What's the difference between a 4WD and a hire car?

A: There are some places you just won't go in a 4WD.

Oh-oh. Don't tell the hire car company. We returned the car without a visible scratch. Isquba was a rally car driver and was only a little hestitant to take the 2WD on some of those "roads". Wish we had our 4X with us as there were places we did not go and had to give up the search.
We were wondering when we picked up the car why hire car companies were hestitant about letting one of their cars go to SA. Now we know.
