I get an "Access Violation at. . . ." when I try to import a GPX file, haven't tried KMLs yet because I don't use Google Earth.. The forum you got the original quote from is also reporting the same thing happening to others with GPX files. What about you, any luck?

I tried loading a small GPX file - no problems. Larger one - "Access violation"
Save Waypoints as KML file, worked ok.
View Data in Google Earth worked ok with 4 random waypoints.
View Map position in Google Earth centres the Google Earth image at the displayed map centre.
I see some more high res imaging has been added to Google Earth.

Word has it that the problem has been fixed, but you will need to download the new version again, it is still version 3.95.4j, might have been useful if it was bumped to 3.95.5j or something so you can tell the difference. Apparently there is no mention of the fix on the Ozi site, so you will just have to take it as read and hope it works - and from all accounts it does.
