just drill into the state of your choice
if you click on "find" it should say "Available Caches listed on GCA All (Australia, New Zealand)" click on australia and you'll get all the aussie caches plus a list of states. then click on tassie

it should be sticky so once you are there you'll be there next time you log on

we should probably underline the (Australia, New Zealand) etc links so it's clear that they are clickable
the reason we did it this way is so the interface will be able to cope with more than just australia and new zealand (but don't tell anyone that!)

Maybe I drilled too far, and they leaked out, once I get to the Tassie page, for me anyway, it says "No Caches Found"

Doesn't work more me either, I noticed it yesterday but didn't mention it because I thought stuff was still being moved across and databases were being tweaked.

The only way I can get a listing is by clicking on "All", if I click on "Australia" or any of the individual states it says "No Caches Found" - so there you go, proof that robtas isn't dumb and all that stuff 8)

Same here for Queensland, but didn't want to appear dumb. Can only get the ALL tab. All states show no caches.

The popularity, hitlist, mates, frequent finders, etc links all go to blank pages.....

You're not doing wrong Robtas.

I think the transistion will take time for everyting to bed in.

If it bothers you greatly then just start a new thread and log a DNF

oops sorry we didn't convert the cache data over correctly
we tested it during beta testing but didn't test it after we'd loaded all the cache data (there was a lot to test!)
we (think!) we've fixed the problem now, so please have another go

the way it works (sorry if it's not too obvious) is that you can navigate the countries and states using the horizontal listing of Australia, New Zealand etc, and you can also choose whether to show GCA-listed caches or all caches that we know of

the search for popularity, etc still needs to be updated to the new underlying data format. we hope to do this over the next few weeks depending on whether other stuff falls over!

thanks for your patience as we iron out all the bugs!

Can I suggest that the Cache list selection be changed to incorporate all the states, Australia, New Zealand and All in the one selection

For Example

Available Caches (All, Australia, NZ, ACT, NSW, NT, Qld, SA, Tas, Vic, WA, NI, SI)

It would then not require two selections to get to the state level and looking at it from a newbee point would make it obvious that the individual states lists are available.

ok, we'll think about how to improve that
we are hoping to grow to more states so it might not just be displaying them all at once. we've put it on the development list

We think you'll still be nuts, but mates and frequent hiders/finders are fixed.
