Came across this site today ... some very dramatic & frightening tsunami photos showing the before & after shots of the same areas.

Yes but the game organisers of Cricket did arrange a special match for raising money. Everyone pitched in and did their bit even though the tsunami disaster had nothing to do with cricket. It's the same here. GC.com should have allowed the tsunami cache to go ahead and raise a few dollars. So what if it went against the rules just this once. They were too pig headed (appologies to Team Piggy...BTW you are upside down) to see this, even after so many people protested. That's why I think they have become way too rigid to have worldwide control of the game. To have control of this or any game on an international level you need to be far more flexible.

and they aren't answerable to anyone.

If an organization had been formed in the early days, there would be some external control..

I am more than happy to make a completely useless post just to add to the reply stats. You know you could turn this thread into a virtual and list it on GCA. That would up the stats. :D

Just to help out Team Piggy, may I mention that now that their piggy is upside down, it still looks like a Piggy right way up.

Starting from the top -

Ears, Nose with Nostrils (Nose is pointing up in the air - eyes cannot be seen due to nose being pointed upwards), Body with two crosses covering up those rude piggy nipples and two arms pointing up at the side of body and everything from the bottom of the chest downwards is inexplicably missing :? .

Final tally for the Tsunami cache is now a whopping: $11,901.21 :D

A big thanks to all those that made the effort to donate to this very worthwhile cause.

A special thanks to leek and his employer for their personal donations totalling $4000 alone !

Thanks everyone...

Can I just mention that the bloke in charge of the Ausaid efforts in Aceh is my foster-cousin Robbie?

Thankyou. Carry on.
