Yes, cheating is certainly possible - in both caching and pokemon. One of the more creative ones I've seen thus far is putting your phone on a model train set and letting it do laps of your house...

Unlike caching, where CPWanderer got quite a shock when he noticed a group of nudists walking past while he was out walking though the bush to a cache!
On a lighter note,
this came up of facebook...

I downloaded the P-go app, and forget about it, then I noticed the app was gone, it seems my 17 year old son decided it was lame and removed it!

One of the kids says students at high school are seen walking around doing laps of the playground, akin to prisoners. But it's been determined they are hatching Pokemon eggs! I guess the exercise will do them good. Normally they all sit down staring at their phones all lunchtime.

It's still the reason I don't mind that my wife buys incubators, because it does makes her walk!
Still cheaper than a gym and she is actually doing it

This isn't something we encourage discussion of here in the forums, there's plenty of resources online for that, thanks.

I recently read a log on a puzzle cache where the cacher was questioned by a muggle. The muggle stated Geocaching is
just like Pokémon Go but for intelligent people.

Anyone close to a full Pokedex yet? I mean excluding the 'legendaries' and the geographically locked Pokemons.
Got about 108 (with a few to evolve). See way too many supposedly rare critters and almost never see some of the supposedly common ones.

124 with the ability to evolve a few (just waiting for a better 'mon to evolve). Heading out to get some more Pikachu this afternoon and maybe some Ghastly. Then I can get my Raichu and Gengar (have a Haunter).
I'm enjoying the social aspect of the game with the wife and the kids when we go out to parks and walk around. Especially as spring is here and the weather is getting better. I'm finding that catching virtual pixles are better than the hundreds of garbage mint tins finds

Zhaoy is definitely more keen to get out with GO than caching these days so that is great to get us out together. We are both on about 130 with a few evolutions up our sleeves for when we next activate a free lucky egg. Will need some updates soon to hold the interest though.

I have 67 in my pokedex with the top one found listing at 147. But when searching online it seems there is a total of 720, don't know how many have been released to the wild

There's 151 in the Pokedex. You can collect up to 250 different Pokemon in your bag (with copies). I don't know where the 720 comes from.
I find endless numbers of:
Zubat
Pidgey
Spearow
Weedle
Caterpie
Pollywag
Nidoran (both)
Clefairy
The rarest (evolvable starter) ones for me:
Seel (1 only)
Pikachu (1 only)
Vulpix (4 in the first week, zero since)
Drowzee (2 only)
Dratini (didn't get any until about a week ago but 4 now)
Thus I haven't been able to evolve any of these although I have caught a Dragonite, low CP though.
