Re: Senate - Call for Nominations for 2016/2017
Nomination close Thursday 30/6/16.
Nominees so far are:
LouiseAnn - VIC
ziggiau - NSW
Sol de Lune - ACT
Richary - NSW
crew 153 - QLD
Laighside Legends - SA
firnsy - NZ
We have 10 available vacancies (QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA, NT, SI, NI). We have 7 nominees and I think we're comfortable with two NSW representatives to help[ get the number to 10.
The developer team (caughtatwork VIC and CraigRat TAS) are also defacto senators.
If you are interested, please self nominate.

If you're comfortable with two SA representatives, I'd be happy to chip in. If not, Laighside Legends would be a great choice, and I wouldn't nominate against him.caughtatwork wrote:

At the close of nominations the nominees are:
LouiseAnn - VIC
Sol de Lune - ACT
ziggiau - NSW
Richary - NSW
crew 153 - QLD
Laighside Legends - SA
J_&_J - SA
Chwiliwr - WA
firnsy - NZ
We have not yet filled the 10 positions (one for each state and territory in AU as well as NI and SI from NZ). As such the 9 nominees are accepted without a runoff. They will be granted access to the private senate forum for any discussions.
Thanks to the folks who have nominated. I hope we work well for the next year in moving Geocaching Australia forward.

I've just spent three weeks working at prepoll (read as: no caching!) and now find I'm the one who's successful (and not working on Election Day ). Thanks for having me on board.

Well I managed to vote after a flat battery in the work car held me up on the way to a service call, so I didn't need to invoke the prepoll! Happy to share the NSW load with you ziggiau.

Isn't firsny nominated for Western Australia? If he isn't then I would stand for WA. Sorry for the late entry. Just thought firsny was doing it.
Seems like I missed the thread and the vote.
So be it.
