Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Because Google says it is, I presume based on the closest locality.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Yes, yes it does. GC does not provide the locale. In order to get the locale we ask Google. Google tells us that the locale is Boonoo Boonoo, New South Wales, Australia. If you believe that Google has an issue (which I believe in this case it does), the best way to get this corrected is to have Google update their reference date to provide the locale as if it were in QLD and not NSW.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Is the GCA site suffering from an attack of retrospectivity? I've just received a series of watched logs that are definitely historical but are currently dated.

If a log gets edited it appears to have changed so might come through again. Can you post one or two of the emails and I'll have a squiz.

See below. They are all 2y'stassies. There's quite a few more if required but they are all repeats on historical logs. I suppose the y'stassies could be editing historical logs but it seems unlikely. Poor old Simon was found over a year ago?

We found Bingo-Simon the Turtle under a pile of bark on the outskirts of
Murray Bridge. He was dirty and cold so we will clean him up before
putting him out to continue his travels.

GA5550 That log was created 2015-09-07 17:02:25 with a find date of 2014-08-18. Looks like a backdated log to the system.nutwood wrote:See below. They are all 2y'stassies. I think these are legitimate back dated logs so the system is sending them through to you as they were recently created.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Having made a couple of GCA finds in Mount Victoria, NSW today, I checked on my status as 'Mayor' of that lovely Blue Mountains locality . . .
To my amazement I found, for the first time, that I'm actually Mayor of both Mt. Victoria, NSW and Mount Victoria, NSW!
Much as I'd love to keep wearing those two hats, I'm wondering if these two place names for the same upper mountains spot should be merged . . .
Not really a big problem, of course . . .

The stars have aligned, Google Maps has been consulted and the update faerie has pushed the magic mushroom button.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Help! I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrect or praying to the wrong gods, but I can't seem to log into the GCA website since its dandy refresh. I can log into the forums fine, but every time I try to log in it says: Sorry, that username/password isn't on file OR your account has not been activated yet.
Thanks
Thanks

Try logging out and then log back in. Sounds weird, but it's the same cookie.

Tried that, but it's still not letting me do it. Went and changed my password, cleared cookies, tried a different browser, still no luck. Getting the same message from the main site, but can still access the forums just fine (obviously )caughtatwork wrote:Try logging out and then log back in. Sounds weird, but it's the same cookie.

OK, I tried one more thing. Capitalized my username on the main site. Now it worked....
