Google Earth kml of all caches
I downloaded a file from somewhere here which contained all GCA and GC caches. Very nice for checking out what's out there just by looking at Google Earth (especially including trigs).
I thought there was a link in the forums but I can't find it. A GE update managed to delete all my overlays so I'm looking for it again.
I did try doing a search on all caches and downloading a GE file but that only seems to show about 20 caches at a time and if you move from your starting point it doesn't show any others.
I may have missed something.

A query set to every cache? That's about all I can think of.It

Re: Google Earth kml of all caches
Do you mean the live feed that updates as you pan around?
If so, go to GE -> Add -> network Link and add http://geocaching.com.au/caches/available/au.kml in the Link section

Re: Google Earth kml of all caches
Yeah that's it. Thanks a lot.
For some reason the query I did wouldn't update when you moved around. The file name appeared the same though.
Very handy to have when planning hides too - turn on the NSW NPWS layer and you can see where not to hide it. (well you can hide it but be prepared to wait six months or so if they do allow it)
Genius.

Re: Google Earth kml of all caches
This is great! I use the KML of all GCA caches (http://geocaching.com.au/caches/gca/au.kml) and combine it with http://www.geocaching.com/about/google.aspx... Really helps when planning hides!

Re: Google Earth kml of all caches
I have often used this kml on Google Earth, but for some reason it hasn't worked for me over the last few days - I have no idea why, other than perhaps the Norton virus protection is getting in the way (it was recently installed on the laptop). Any ideas?CraigRat wrote:Do you mean the live feed that updates as you pan around?

Works for me, but it only shows GCA caches. You have an outdated link if you're looking for all caches.andiamo wrote:I have often used this kml on Google Earth, but for some reason it hasn't worked for me over the last few days - I have no idea why, other than perhaps the Norton virus protection is getting in the way (it was recently installed on the laptop). Re: Google Earth kml of all caches
Thanks caughtatwork ... that has fixed everything for me. I didn't think it had been that long ago that I had used the old link. All good now though
