I have been clicking on "Update Forum Stars" and nothing has happened.

You have approx 3500 finds and that is what the forums show.... what bit are you having problems with?

Your browser may be caching the old stars. Try clicking shift-refresh in your browser.

At last count I had 4,202 finds on GC, plus whatever I have found on GA.

You might need to update your finds here then!
http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/statist ... ttle/finds

We only have 3567 of your found logs.

If you are a GC premium member it is a snap, just run a My Finds query and upload it:
http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Uploading_logs
If not, things are a lot trickier.

I went to the "Build Pocket Queries", but I can't find the "My Finds" option. The instructions say to click the button and wait for your email to arrive. I can't see the My Finds button. Where do I find it?

If you're a premium member, it's at the very bottom of the Pocket Query page.

This is what I see. I can't see a button. The 'My Finds' in the picture is not a button. I am a Premium Member.

Click the "Add to Queue" button. Then you'll get an email. Then you'll go back to the site and use the "Pocket Queries for Download" tab to find the results. Not exactly easy, is it :-(

Yep, sorry about that.At the moment we rely on the feed being fed thru various sources, but we are not getting as many of the logs as we used to.

For us to be able to access stats reliably we'd need access to Groundspeak's API, and sadly we do not qualify for several reasons. If we did it could be turned in to a single button affair.

I noted that not all my QLD GC finds were up to date so followed the GCA Wiki using GSAK & worked without any probs.

I am trying to keep all NSW and ACT logs up to date, though some may slip through the cracks if there have been more than 4 logs on a cache in a week. For the last 2 weeks I have imported about 5,500 logs each Thursday night into GCA.

I did notice that the file appeared to be mainly foreign caches, rather than local.
Thank you for doing that work.

There has never been any automatic way of importing your cache finds from overseas into the system (apart from NZ). Anything you found overseas was always up to you to import to get the stats right on GCA. You have obviously found more than me overseas, I think it's 14 in France and 3 in Singapore for me. For a long time GCA did it under their accounts AFAIK for Oz until the number of PQs got too big.

I do what I can to help, if I can do more and someone asks I will also try to fit that in.

Yep, and the states that don't really use GCA were the ones that needed the most PQs and the most adjusting/configuring (power trails and geoart)... It just got to a critical point where we could not stay on top of it, or justify the a) expense and b) the effort.
Then the PQ delivery method changed and that really sealed the fate of the faeries.

So until such a time as we can get API access (please don't hold your breath, we automatically don't qualify) then it's now self serve and/or hope our fantastic members push updates our way.
3.3 To begin the enrollment process you must submit and complete an accurate Enrollment Form. In your Enrollment Form you must indicate the application or website you intend to develop and use with the Geocaching.com API. Groundspeak may reject your Enrollment Form if your application is determined to be unsuitable for any reason. Reasons for rejection of an Enrollment form include, but are not limited to, applications that:

a) Do not have as their principal purpose extending the core experience of geocaching.com;
b) Promote or contain sexually explicit materials;
c) Promote violence or contain violent materials;
d) Promote discrimination, or employ discriminatory practices, based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age;
e) Promote or commit illegal activities;
f) Include a trademark owned by Groundspeak in the domain name of a URL;
g) Improperly use a Groundspeak logo or trademark;
h) Do not provide adequate protection of PII in Groundspeak's consideration; i) Or otherwise violate the Intellectual Property rights of Groundspeak or another entity.
Our domain name alone means it'll never happen.
