Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Hi,
I am missing many caches from my GC.com listing. I have tried importing the file from GC but it didn't fix the problem. I used to be registered here at GCA before GC but I lost track of my login details, so reconnected in August 2014...when the logs have been synced from. In the past I have had the usernames Tink n Pygmy Pirates, and JustTink if that helps.
Also, can I change my user/profile name to No_Tomorrow.
I've tried accessing the private Admin area to post this as directed but it isn't working for me, sorry.
Thanks
No_Tomorrow

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Yesterday afternoon, something went horribly astray and the server went beserk. I didn't notice this yesterday, so we had nearly 24 hours of suck
I've restart MySQL and cleared that issue, but as you can see some things didn't finish.
You can always download your GPX file manually.
Things should be normal now.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I often get the following error when trying to access GCA
Is this message from GCA?
At first I assumed it was just because of the sever upgrade stuff. Then it came up while accessing the groundspeak site so I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong at my end...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
The message is from your end. The timeout though is probably from the server (is under heavy load right now).
No idea why your anti-virus would report that though. Seems like overkill to me.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
The building I live in got a new internet connection about a month ago. The good part is that it is much faster and with unlimited downloads. The bad part is that it can be a little temperamental at times and has some odd features (eg. the above error message).

Don't know if there is something happening with the server but it took 10 minutes to publish a trig just now.
And the edit took nearly a minute to go through....
[edit] And the log for the new trig is still trying to get through...

We have. It's here in my spare room getting configured and tested.Swampy wrote:But I thought you got a new one
Won't be operational for a several weeks yet (I have been working 60+ hour weeks, only got snippets of time to get it all spick and span).
We are moving to a new OS and there's a LOT of things to configure and learn before we can deploy securely.
Most things are working, but major backend stuff that you guys don't see still needs work.
It'll be worth the wait.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
The daily updates of new caches and upcoming events for the South Island seems to be missing a few events. Not sure why?

We don't seem to be receiving all the caches anymore for NZ from our sources.'dakotacats wrote:The daily updates of new caches and upcoming events for the South Island seems to be missing a few events. Not sure why?
Not really a lot we can do to remedy that, I'm afraid,
