the ideology geocopter. 2004 model, 200 hours. land it anywhere. we've left it unlocked at various places and noone's taken it. uses about 60 litres per hour crusing at 110 knots.
I see we have upgraded George. So when's the recon trip for cache distribution going to take place?

At present I'm using the wifes Forester. It's not really my kind of cache mobile but it's quiet (when I leave the kids behind) and is aircondition. Privided I don't scratch it, its a good car to cache with.

But my choice is this:

Image

This is the Baja. It's a 1971, 1600cc, Aircooled, Flat four modified VW Type 1. The Transaxle, motor, suspension, guards, steering and front / rear valances, bonnet, interior, wiring, sound system and off road capabilities have been enhanced to reach those hard to get caches.

When you absolutely, positively have to be there. Where ever 'there' may be. It don't matter if it gets scratched, it don't matter if it get dinged. It don't matter if it gets muddy. It's a baja bug and being VW - It will live a hell of a lot longer than your average coupe or sedan. The sand dunes is where it excels but it's great for rough roads, creek beds, river crossings and jumping small gullies.

It is commonly known in VW circles as "The Dog-O-War". The dog is currently unregistered and undergoing a refit, repaint and general recondition, ready for another thrashing. It needs to be reliable and when it's not it comes off the road for a while and tuned up.

Does it still come with sexy hosties?

I cant go past the "Fully Sick Hyundai Excel".
It is already so carpark damaged, that a bit caching/rallying doesnt show up much  :D :D

Besides its as cheap as chips to run and Me, the two dogs and a mountain bike inside with no worries (a bit like the tardis, but without the sexy hosties)

A has a new Magna 2004 model (only a couple of months old) and M has a Lazer. The Magna is the usual car of choice for caching. A drives and M navigates.

I have just realised that we have found 102 caches. Could our stars be updated? Pretty please.

Perhaps one of these? Well, as long as you don't mind doing a bit more damage to the environment than normal...

We cache in a 1991 Mitsubishi Verada. Just a Magna with a V6 instead of the old 4 cylinder.
This vehicle goes anywhere I am mad enough to take it. Mrs P always telling me not to think it is a 4wd, especially since it has been factory lowered. Not the best clearance for some of those jagged rocks that one may come across. (if someone finds my muffler can they let me know? :) )

Atm the cachemobile is limited to quick local duties until it gets a much needed auto transmission service (happening thursday). Then we will be out an about trying to snap up some more Dubbo caches. (including Bronzes very challenging Logic cache).

vehicle of choice you cant beat walking, but i dont have that much time.
i love the my nissan patrol for those off road bush caches, but when it comes to suburban caches give me my hyundia getz, it sure getz me around fast and easy to park not like the patrol. but the getz is no good for those dirt roads. horses for corses- now theres an idea.

Can you name the car with four-wheel-drive?
Smells like a steak and seats thirty-five!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down.
It's a country-fried truck endorsed by a clown.
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Twelve yards long and two lanes wide,
sixty-five tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports!
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts.
Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super-high beam.
She a squirrel-squishin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine!
Canyonero! Canyonero!

We generally take the Nissan Patrol but we also have a Suzuki Vitara. Mr. K thinks every cache should be a drive by so his theory,

bigger is better (and easier to get to the cache)

Hmmm, Considering the Grand Vitara had less dramas climbing than the Patrol that might need reconsidering. OK, the only times he had any drama was with the camper trailer on the back, but there can't be too many drive by's in SA you could do with the thirsty Patrol you couldn't in the Zook :P After going up Blue Rag I'm pretty confident 8)
