Oregon 450t - Won't start properly

Post by Agent Basil » 02 July 13 4:34 pm

I think it is trying to tell me something. We are off to Port Stephens tomorrow so I was loading the Oregon with a GPX file via the GSAK Export function. Everything worked well but when I fire up the Oregon, it gets to the half way mark of loading everything then swithes itself off. When I reconnect it to the PC, it gets to the same stage and falls over. Accordingly, I can't access any files via the PC to delete and start over. Is there a hard factory reset function which can be done without going through the menu system?

Take the SD card out and try again. Sometimes the SD becomes corrupt.

Thanks guys.
Ian, no SD card installed.
Paul, brilliant resource, have deleted all my Tracks, Waypoints and GPX as per their nifty boot up trick, reloaded GPX, I can see it, Port Stephens here we come. Owe you a beer ! :D
