Yay, got my first square in 2 of my bingo cards ticked off tonight. BIG thanks to team FelixII for bringing some bingo caches all the way down to Margaret River to help me get started. Greatly appreciated and hope to see you at the events on Wed

Ok, I get it, I was just very late in getting mine out.caughtatwork wrote:You need to go to http://www.cachinggames.com/bingoMtnLioness wrote:A card?calumphing_four wrote:Just wondering - is it possible to get a Bingo card without creating a moveable cache
Cheers
I just thought C@W just figured it all out....
Do we need a card?
how do I get one?
Log in (or create an account).
Join the game.
Create a listing at GCA and publish it (add bingo as public tag).
Enter your cache id (GAnnnn) at http://www.cachinggames.com by using the create my cache link.
You should get a card.
The games software will work everything else out.
You might not appear on the ladder until the next hourly update.

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
Thanks to all kind comments and help
I had a great night sleep and woke up refeashed as ever.
So I have refeashed cache page GA5377 and turned it into a Challenge Bingo cache.
A challenge for cacher to find log and move and a personal challenge for myself to retreve and despose of after game.
I have very clear marked cache with Ga number and very clearly marked my ownership of cache.
And the it is a Challenge cache and dates it will run.
Now people can use their own discretion/smarts to do this or not (some climb trees, some yak) so it's now up to each cacher to make up their own minds.
Thank you Krazy K

Hi C@W. We are loving bingo - awesome job you are doing.
I published 10 new bingo caches yesterday, and I have just realised they had yesterday's date 7/12/12 as the hidden date. I have since changed the hidden dates on the 10 caches to 1/12/12, but they still are not showing up in the bingo lists (as of 9pm update 8/12/12). Maybe this will happen in due course, or maybe they need to be manually added. Hopefully it is not a major drama.
The cache numbers are;
GA5500, GA5404, GA5409, GA5407, GA5496, GA5410, GA5403, GA5412, GA5408, GA5499

If you haven't, you need to add these as caches at cachinggames.comDaFiChNi Team wrote:Hi C@W. We are loving bingo - awesome job you are doing.

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
Sorry Caught at Work. 1 of our caches needs your help. it is GA4929 Mr Felix's Sports car.
The last mover is travelling overseas now and he has attempted to fix his mistake and has sort of. The cache is now no longer in the ocean but it looks like it has moved a large distance twice in a row. We had disabled it when advised of it being a bit water logged (middle of nowhere) but don't want to mess up the game until we know it's right.
Can you please let us know if it's safe to enable it now or can you fix the problem please (it only moved the once from my possession to the current location. Not the move in between.)
Maybe we need to get the website to ask us are you sure, are you really sure, are you sure your sure before we press submit on these co-ordinates. At least during the moveable race

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
Is the last location correct?
http://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA4929
I've removed the spurious log.
The website, when you add a set of co-ords to the log, on the log confirmation page shows you where the cache is located ... on a map.
There's not much more I can do to visually demonstrate where the cache is according to the co-ords you entered.

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
I finally got around to entering this year and even after finding 25 movables already I haven't crossed off a single number! It seems I won't get there by random methods. I don't check the numbers but I may have to if I am to get any numbers ticked off!
Still it's all good fun moving them around our local area. We have a few movable dumps that are being well-utilised. You can simply pull up and check what's there without actually seeing if anything is logged, chances are you'll be in luck.

I too have given up, being able to complete a card. Unlike Geosportz, the numbers needed are beyond our control, and it is shear luck if your numbers are in your area. I'm happy to move a cache along and find it once, but won't be finding the same caches over again.
Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
It's early days yet to assume we can't reach some numbers. I'm hoping a few interstate travellers will help out over Christmas Black Bunny has already started clocking up the klms

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
I was in the process of creating several dozen caches to fill in the numbers that weren't in WA, but since the consensus seems to be that there is no obligation to drop a cache when a cacher picks one up, while I think it would be fair, I decided to abandon the game instead. Any cacher could make the effort and create caches for numbers, they just don't.tronador wrote:I too have given up, being able to complete a card. I'll still be creating some more movable caches, since nobody seems interested in my numbers, but they won't be in the game.

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
I'm enjoying finding them, after all they all count as a smiley. But I also won't necessarily be chasing ones I have already found. As for the numbers, maybe we need to sit down and create 100 draft listings, then actually activate the ones that have the numbers missing in NSW. That's one way to do it.tronador wrote:I too have given up, being able to complete a card. But now I am living a bit further away from all the GCA moving action I probably won't be moving as many as the last couple of years, today didn't have time to drive to where the caches were.
