Re: Caching games this year?
So they are all slang bingo calls. So the game is based on a bingo game. the question would be how to generate the card and what is going to be used to represent the numbers.
Will it be a race as the numbers are called and prizes for various pattern on the card. Is each individual got there own card or do we rampage out the door when the call is posted on a universal card. Can we have clues as to what will be so we can track down caches now that may meet the 90 numbers. Somany questions so little time.

You can not prepare for this one in any meaningful manner.belken wrote:So they are all slang bingo calls. So the game is based on a bingo game. the question would be how to generate the card and what is going to be used to represent the numbers.

You are going to randomly select a list of caches in each state and we have to see how many we can find?

Not quite.LouiseAnn wrote:You are going to randomly select a list of caches in each state and we have to see how many we can find?
The last 3 years what has the game been?
This year the cache owners get to participate rather than be passive observers of their game pieces.

Do we still get the chance to fill something with cement and then have someone else cart it across the country?

Some (many?) of us did both, even though it meant helping competing Leapfrogs - more fun than just releasing and watchingcaughtatwork wrote:Not quite.LouiseAnn wrote:You are going to randomly select a list of caches in each state and we have to see how many we can find?

We are the game pieces?
(Just don't go near Laighside Legends in that case, he might fill you with cement!)

Yet to be decided.MtnLioness wrote:We are the game pieces?

The first year was generic and in my opinion not quite as much fun. I really like the themed idea from the last couple of years. It gave me a sense of helping a creature travel from one location to another. It was also fun seeing what sort of evil / funny things people came up with to taunt the people looking for the cache.
As things years game will be based on the game of bingo (details to be provided), it doesn't really fit a theme per se, but I would really like to see a theme for the caches this year as well.
So, thinking caps on, come up with some suggestions.

Why not make the pieces Bingo-themed, even if only vaguely ? You could have ducks, legs, fat ladies, and so on. I am sure most of the ingenious folks hereabouts could beg, borrow or steal..heck, even make or buy if necessary, something that could somehow be connected with a bingo call.

For a theme, why not consider some of last year's suggestions, and choose the one you like best, C@W?
