Heptathlon is one day.
Decathlon is over two days.
So, no you can't do 17 on one day as you would not be meeting the decathlon requirement.

Oh. I had thought it would be ok to do the Decathlon quicker than required? That was my "Plan" and I did do about 20 in one day. But luckily I ended up doing a few the day before and used these for the decathlon by chance (as they had the points I wanted) so I did end up using 2 days for the 10.

Phew that was lucky! I only started claiming caches today when I noticed the 7 day log limit. I think I ended up claiming nearly every cache we did in Woronora ;)

As most of those were high points now I can relax and find easy caches only worth a few point to make sure I dont go over ;)

I just wish to have a shout out about the GeosportZ. This is the first year I've entered (or indeed known about it). I'm not really targeting to complete them all or anything, just logging those that I have found and happen to meet a requirement. It is a surprising amount of fun. Watching the list and reading through my logs to see what I can claim. It will be great to see how it goes over the coming weeks.

My closest cache to home has been there for almost 20 months and I still haven't found it. It is a T5 and a D2 but I believe it finishes in an 'unsavoury' location.... also known as legal in Germany but not here

The next one is also a T5 but it is actually achievable if I tried really hard. Oh wait, it's winter..... never mind

The third closest to home is a 2/2 puzzle, so I could do that one easily.....

I've just returned from an impromptu small trip and haven't had internet, I am logging all my finds from a few days ago yesterday. I also missed out on reading the 7 day rule. Would it be possible to put the cache through [-o< ?
The name is
Waypoint ID: * GC3PBWY
Cache Name: * Klein #1
Requirement: * Cycling
Found: * 2nd July
Difficulty: * 2.5
Terrain: * 1.5
Cache Type: * Puzzle
Cache Size: * Small
Justification- See above

Thanks

Do Pterodactyls count for animal powered flight (just checking in case the animals have to be alive today)? Also, is the name of the animal that flies used as the title (and maybe questions about that animal as clues for a mystery cache) enough to relate the cache to animal powered flight? Or do there need to be specific aspects of the cache relating to the flight of the animal?

Hope that made sense.

I'd presume that the Pterodactyl is animal flight and to your second park it can be the title

Also, will an actual cache about archery count for the archery requirement?

Yes, becasue arrows are non-animal powered flight :D

Sorry, can't do.
The game is a game of strategy as well as skill and determination.
The 7 day rule a wrinkle to ensure you are planning strategically.
i.e. Do you go early and hard and then struggle at the end of the game to "fill in the gaps", or do you go late and hard to try and get them all at the end hoping you don't have too many DNFs?
Knowing how deadlocks are broken, this all forms part of the strategy.
To allow people to find 400 (or some number) caches for the game, THEN let them choose which ones, right at the end of the game is not strategy.

Y'all need to be wary of the marathon and the 7 day rule too.
