Half-price Sistemas!

Post by quiet1_au » 13 April 12 4:48 pm

A certain supermarket chain - let's call them "C" - seem to have a half-price special On the cacher's most Loved & favouritE - Sistema containers! \:D/ I'm unsure if this is just Victoria or even just the store I visited but I grabbed a variety pack and an special one I'm hoping will fit a certain hiding place I have in mind for a new cache soon. Stock up on new caches while you can before the sale ends! :D

Oh in that case C="Coles"! (the cacher in me hid it in capital letters in the original post anyway )

Normally I don't shop there very often, despite it being closest to home - but in this case it paid off :-)

LOL I'm afraid not ("purist" 'cachers rejoice!) Safeway had them discounted if I recall correctly as I bought another three - and realised I still had three unopened from the last time I restocked - doh! #-o So many tins, all looking for homes... I also have a stockpile of old/dead harddrives to dissect for magnets, and a collection of other sorts of tins... Maybe once I clock up 6 months straight daily finds I might switch to hiding one a day - err week or um maybe month. ish...

And very timely it was, too, as I have an event coming up where I needed 50 odd small containers!

BTW, don't go to the Coles in Kalamunda if you want 200ml containers; they're out of stock. 8)

So how powerful are the magnets in the hard drives and is it worthwhile dissecting them. I have a few old drives sitting around as well.

I guess it is time to look it up on YouTube on how to do it, as I assume you don't use a sledgehammer.
