Re: TapaTalk
So we make a hack to our forum software (security notwithstanding), so they can sell you an app and include our forum in their directory, driving up their ability to sell more of the same app ... and we get what out of this?

Re: TapaTalk
Thanks for the idea, but we'll have to pass,
We've kind of got a policy of not coding chunks of the site to work with specific applications or devices, as it's hard to maintain and could be a potential security issue.

It was only a request!!
Unfortunately my eyes aren't as good and it appeared to be easier to read, hence the request.
It was not a demand.
Explanation provided, and accepted, no dramas.

Re: TapaTalk
Oh, don't worry about me. I'm feel particularly hard done by today and so my post came across a lot snarkier than I intended. Sorry about that.

Re: TapaTalk
Just thinking about this as I too have been accessing the forum sometimes from the iPhone browser.
I have the "read new posts" URL bookmarked and it's not too bad with the screen landscape, you just have to zoom in a bit to hit the tiny little 'new post' button against each thread and then zoom out again to read it.
I just had a look at the two other layouts I don't use, GCA blue and prosilver and they are not any better, actually in prosilver the new post button looks even smaller.
That had me wondering if instead of coding something platform specific, perhaps a fourth forum layout option with a chunky font and larger "new post" button could be easy to do? I know there are hacks that need to be done to each layout so it's not something ideal for the coders but with the growth in mobile internet devices it could be useful.
(Also could be annoying because it seems the forum layout is not set by cookie so you couldn't have one layout on your mobile device and another on your desktop.)

Correct. The layout theme is mapped to your usernameDamo. wrote:Also could be annoying because it seems the forum layout is not set by cookie so you couldn't have one layout on your mobile device and another on your desktop.)
Re: TapaTalk
So how easy is it to knock up a new one with a big font so we can do a feasibility study?CraigRat wrote:Correct.
