I'm interested but can't confirm yet if I can make the flight from Sydney over the ditch yet. A little thing called work gets in the way of fun.

 We are actively looking at this now. We were unable to get holidays for the AusMega but look like we might be able to get to this one.

Still in the waiting game at the moment though

I've just updated the registrations of interest, and we've currently got 565 people (283 teams) registered and they're still coming in at a steady trickle. We expect to announce the registration pricing and details in the Feb newsletter due next week, and should be able to start accepting payments soon thereafter. A heads-up from us that we're likely to be using PayPal to handle non-NZ payments. More details next week :)

If you are on the fence, I would strongly encourage you to start booking, especially if you want commercial accommodation for the long weekend in Dunedin ;)

Finally booked my flights to NZ for the MEGA tonight.
Air NZ currently has a promo (AUD$150 discount) on return fares ex Aussie.

We are now really looking into this event. A change of my roster sees me with a 5 day weekend, preceeded by a very early shift, and followed by a very late shift. It will depend if Mrs Bundy can get the time off, then getting passports ect.

Just a brief update. Yes, we've been fairly quiet with news recently while OZ MEGA was on, and some of us were attending, and observing, and making notes ;)

I expect we'll have quite a bit to share in the coming weeks. Registrations will be opening next week for New Zealanders (as we can accept NZ payments already). International registrations will open as soon as we've jumped through enough hurdles to suit PayPal ;)

As you can expect six months out, we don't have a programme locked down to hourly timeslots yet. We will soon, again probably next week, be communicating the overview of the programme, including indicative timings, key events we're planning, as well as some new ideas we'd like to bring to a MEGA.

Cheers Gav

I would like to know from the organisers, is there going to be an emblem for the NZ Mega? As you know the Oz Mega used the Murray Cod and the Platypus. Just wanting to sort out a design for a suitable pathtag.

I think there a quite a few of us waiting for this announcement as this question has been asked a couple of times before and I think it is just a matter of waiting till the organising committee announce some more details. Each time the question is asked the answer has been yes but just wait a litlle longer. Not too long I hope knowing how long it takes to plan, design, get the blue print then go to manufacture and then get the things to Oz.

From memory, the banner on the Tarago (seen at the Flashmob Router) had a little penguin on it. Moneydork can confirm, otherwise I have a photo of it at home.
