Just saying G'day

Post by Mulga Bill » 11 February 12 7:27 am

G'day people :D

I've been lurking for a little while, and caching since December, since a riding mate got me into it. I'm semi retired so it's a good way of spending a day off, and a great way to break up the long road trips while away riding.
As is often the way, the bug has bitten, and it's taken me to a lot of places I would never have found.
Some names have come up often, and hopefully I'll get to know and meet a few of you out there.

Mulga Bill (and yes, I do have a bicycle :D but it's of the motorised variety)

Welcome MB, as you have found, this can be addicting. The best way to meet other cachers is to go to an event. There will be quite a few on Feb 29, many cachers are working on filling their 366 grid, finding a cache on every date of the calander, and a lot of them need the 29th since it only comes around once every 4yr, there might be one near you.

Hi Mulga Bill, and welcome to geocaching. It's great to have a new hider close to me in the north-west of Melbourne. Your caches have certainly been worth finding, so thank you!

Hope to see you at an event or two soon.

Peter (pwags).

Thanks Peter. The first few caches have been fairly basic compared to some that I've found, so it's good to get some feedback. Hopefully, the quality will improve as I get the hang of things. TackleHead and Team Ladava stand out as something to emulate in the standard of their caches, so the next couple will be an improvement over the first ones.
