Google Maps finally has the newer pictures online now

Street View has not been updated in Wollongong. It is still showing pre February 2009 photos, ie before we moved into our house.

Something a bit funny about this one - maybe it's a Google Streetview in-joke. Go toward the vans for 3 or 4 grabs, or go in the other direction by one grab, and not only does the rain clear up but also the vans all disappear ... do do, do do

Shouldn't be hard to work out when my area was done. Is this a Google privacy slip up or what? I won't name the High School here but it is clearly visible on the sign. Looks like it was this year too by the date on the bottom of the image.

Is that the right link renroc? the school look a lot loike a convoy of google cars

I realised it after I tried to send the link to the Principal of the high school concerned. For some reason even though it showed the right image the link at the top stayed as the one that I copied from here. I closed down google and reopened it and put the address of the school in but it still stayed at the Sutton Forest link..... Weird. Anyway I posted a feedback to google and they have sent me a reply that they will change the image. That's good news.

Just checked and the image has been scrambled so the writing on the sign is no longer readable at all. Well done Google. Under 24hours to change it.

Pretty happy streetview's been updated ...I can finally see my house!!
(old version stopped at the bottom of my street, as the road was being resurfaced at the time -__-)

I too have been waiting for them to update these for Wollongong but as Hoojar said, no luck yet!

It is a bit like "you're know you're a geocacher when" when almost two years ago I saw the Google car coming and quickly set something up for a future geocache. Still waiting for that cache....
