Re: Ballarat or Bendigo
Thanks for that EB. I REALLY want to go to the Mega next year, however I go to Warrnambool every Easter. But you never know, I might force a tradition change! At the moment I have my sights set on Ballarat going to Bendigo for the night caches, but I am still undecided. how long does it take to get from Ballarat to Bendigo at around 6:00pm Saturday night?

Oh, damn I doubt I would be able to go that far in one night. I am now leaning towards Bendigo

Re: Ballarat or Bendigo
Within the 10 mile limit in Bendigo there are 27 caches with the "Needs Maintenance" attribute set, and there are 30 in Ballarat.
Sometimes people disable a cache needing maintenance, and later enable it, but this does not clear the Needs Maintenance attribute.
It is necessary to then log an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the attribute.
This clouds the picture somewhat, for example Tigers 1st Night Cache in Bendigo suffers from this.

Remember, I am purely going to cache, not do any tourist stuff etc.
Thanks
I SO wish that I had seen this sooner.
Lemmykc, think of what you are doing. - a major cache trip. This is the thin end of the wedge young man, and along this path lies madness, sheer madness I tell you. Turn back now before its too late!
Go to the football instead.

Yes, Liam that's good advice. There are a number of caches at the MCG you could pick up on the way to Bendigo.Alansee wrote:lemmykc wrote:I am thinking of going for a weekend (1 night) to either Ballarat or Bendigo, but I cannot choose in a few weeks time. Re: Ballarat or Bendigo
I would recommend Bendigo, by and large more interesting/challenging hides. I recently visited Ballarat, there are some good ones there too and probably easier to rack up the numbers.gmj3191 wrote:Based on that, my **subjective** opinion based on this and nothing else would be that
Bendigo caches are larger and more interesting, but if you're interested in just clocking up finds, go to Ballarat.
