Kathryn my two children, Miranda 9 and Emilia 8 and I have been enjoying caching since Jan 11. We read about it in the local paper Advertiser - went to the website and hey preseto. My work expects me to travel so now I have something to do when I am away from home and am a bit bored!

I must say the designers of the geocaching website (and all the statistical analysis) is v. close to insane levels of data.
How long is it going to take me to find an application for things like the centroids function?

I love centroids (as I have no idea as to what I might do with this piece of information)
My Hiding Centre is:
Yardea S32° 20.526' E135° 28.224'
whoo hoo - is there any electricity out there?

Hello all, Am only a new-chum to this sport and only found it by accident.
Have finally hidden my first cache after trying to find suitable hiding places.
I originally listed it on GC (USA) but it was still unpublished up to today,
so I deleted the request and published it here.
It was so good to be able to publish it directly without the gatekeeper.
I have registered a swaggie "Matilda" but it hasn't been released yet.
"Matilda" is a USB memory stick with electronic log book and instructions
to create a folder in the cacher's name and add some
pictures. Am keen to see how this experiment goes.
Cheers,
Journeyman53.

Welcome JourneyMan - Give me a hint as to which State Bowen is in?
We are from Adelaide and have been at this for abotu 5 months... and still enjoying it.
Travelling is no longer about moving from A to B as fast as I legally can!

G'day to all.

My name is Chris but most people know me as Phatt.

I live at Port Macquarie N.S.W. now, however I have lived in a lot of different places in the last 25 years or so.

I am an old school navigator from my days in the RAAC (Royal Australian Armoured Corps) 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers , when you had to use a compass and a map to find your way around :D

I am currently using a HTC Wildfire on the Telstra 3G network and running the c:geo geocaching app which makes it so very easy to find cache locations.

I have only just started geocaching in the last couple of months and I am realy enjoying it so far.

Cheers,
Phatt

G'day All, Al Bunj here, and my wife and I are at the Tjukayirla Roadhouse on the great central rd, WA, between Laverton and Warburton, or, for those not sure of where that is, halfay between Perth and The Alice.
Not many Caches around here, i've found 7 so far, which is about all available to me for 300km's in each direction
I do have one to find 60km's away when that Rd opens though.
Have only been Caching for a few months now, and wish I had gotten into it alot sooner, I've missed a bloody lot over the years.
anyway, we met team Crackers here a couple of days ago, what a great couple, and congrats to them for getting 2 FTF's here for my 2 hidden Cachers in the area.. =D> =D> :D :D
We are off for a week away in Perth next week, and will be improving our cache count on the way :D
