I am happy to hear of any regular caching stories with pets thank you.. the parrot quote was actually a joke but you never know.. yes, I think they'd happily sniff out caches if they ever start making "bone smelling" sistemas!

PS: happy caching teddy!

If you don't find any exotic caching pets, perhaps you could go with pet caching experiences?

Our 15 year old rough collie fell down a steep slope once, and played dead so that he could be carried up the slope. He did a very convincing job. We thought we were going going to have to dig a BIG hole when we got to the top! He died later, but not from that!

We have been trying to teach our Briard to sniff out caches, with absolutely zero success so far.

Kellyansapansa wrote:I wish I had an exotic pet to take caching. I was hoping to get an iguana as a pet after having my photo taken with one on my head in Thailand recently (long story) but was gutted to find that you can't have them as pets in Oz. It's a shame - he was the coolest creature!

Back on topic - I have taken my dog caching just once and he was completely bewildered by the whole experience. He's the only pet I have, I'm afraid. Good luck finding some stories though!
The short version is that I was in one of *those* bars in Thailand and there was a guy wandering around charging a couple of bucks to have photos taken with his pet iguana. I figured I'd rather give my money to a guy with an iguana than put it in some girl's underwear. He was putting it on people's shoulders and in their arms for most photos, but for some reason he put it on my head for mine. I refuse to tell the longer version of the story on the grounds that it will definitely incriminate me. :-$

Had to revive an old thread, sorry.
Due to the need to find a cache today to fill our caching calendar, and the need to take our rabbit to the vet to get his sutures out, we ended up caching with a rabbit:

Mr Squishington seemed to like it. He will probably be caching in the future.
