Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Our first chrissy as cachers, having only got the GPSr for Christmas last year.
2 long-standing hides crossed off the list and one DNF...why couldn't the 360 degrees tower be open today ?

Yes, yes, yes, no, yes.......Freddo wrote:So have you cached on Christmas Day? Your birthday? Your wedding anniversary? Your wedding day? Your wife's birthday? Another significant day?
We cached today, I also cached xmas day 2005, My wife & I share the same birthday, which is also our wedding anniversary, and this year we cached on "our day" as there was a geoevent celebrating the first QLD cache, which was placed the day we got married in 2000

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
We found one en route to family do as we were early (always keep GPS at the ready just in case!).
Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
I cached today but logged a DNF on one and a couldn't sign log on the other. Rudder Park in Kempsey was not far from my Christmas day festivities. SO I went to get it. Muggled out. I could see it but couldn't get to it without being spotted. So on the way home a day earlier than expected due to flooding in my home town I tried Unkya Reserve..... the location was waterlogged and I couldn't find the cache there. SO two attempts = no

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Finally have now, and with a FTF
I did consider going out at 12:30am after everything was set for the morning and lunch, but thought that was shortcutting the mission of caching on Christmas Day.
Thankfully we needed ice and the new cache was only a minor detour on the way
Still lots of holes to fill in to get to 366 though
Cheers

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Found the caches 300mm from the boundary of the in-laws where I was having lunch. Actually I cached before lunch as forks did not hit food until 3.36pm. I am not even sure if that is lunch!! Early tea?
Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
I have also now cached on Chrisy day.
Down to brothers place at Torquay, one was 100m off the road we were heading down, couldn't resist.
Feels good to have done that.

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
I tried.
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx ... b417aa25b3
I probably could have logged for one of the neglected (>x months unfound) locationless caches too.
The views were worth the DNF, however the damage to my bare legs from vegetation probably weren't.

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Xmas Day now x-ed off the list.
Not only was it my first Xmas Day caching - I also achieved my 700th GC.com find, and broke my day's record for finds in a day.
The first cache for the day was called "Do they know it's Christmas Hill",
My 700th cache was a 4 stage multi in Willunga,
My last for the day was my 707th and I logged it at 7:07pm. Doo doo, doo doo.

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
I headed out on Christmas day to rescue a gnome from possible rising waters. The man in a 4wd driving past looked a bit startled when I came wading out of the trees holding a gnome
