Thats really cheeky of a muggle! Pinching a gnome from private property!Snuva wrote:Is there a prize for first gnome muggled? I had two on my front porch as the clocked ticked over from November to December. When I left for work one was gone. . .but it's still not been logged? The other was grabbed and moved on by a cacher.

Especially when they haven't logged a move. Don't the muggles know this is a race!!PrincessDiala wrote:Thats really cheeky of a muggle! I have a couple of DNFs on mine, so I'll check those out in the morning.

Never! You just have to publish with the date as the 1st December, as far as I know.

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
It's been so good to see all of the gnome activity over the last couple of days. I hope to gnab a few over the weekend.
A suggestion:
With so many entries in this race, the ladder on cachinggames.com takes FORRRREEEEVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR to load, due to all of the banners in the last column having to render. This makes it very difficult to scroll down to the bottom of the ladder to read the details, as the page keeps moving as each banner loads. For me, this is taking up to two minutes each time I view the ladder.
As the info in each banner is effectively redundant (it's already in the previous columns, except for the cache name), would it be worthwhile "turning off" the banners for this race, and replacing them with a simple text version of the cache name, linked to the cache page? Would this allow the ladder to load more quickly? It might also save a bit of bandwidth on the server, and on our mobile broadband plans!
What do others think about this idea?

I agree. I haven't been able to view the ladder results, they take too long to loadpwags wrote: , would it be worthwhile "turning off" the banners for this race, and replacing them with a simple text version of the cache name, linked to the cache page? So, it's been a real blast watching the gnomes wander all around, is it possible (pretty please) to have a map of where they have been?
Like the trackable map on GC.com?

If you've got Google Earth installed, simply click the "Google Earth" link on the right hand side of any of the moveable cache pages. Simple!oz lurker wrote:So, it's been a real blast watching the gnomes wander all around, is it possible (pretty please) to have a map of where they have been?

I don't seem to have a problem with it loading.......
Could someone please have mercy on a user of public transport and stick a Gnome on a Train line so I can get it?
(Somewhere within a few kms of me??)
