Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Just went and hid them then. Was going to hide both of them plus a movable from last year at the site of one of my caches so you could get four for one but then thought we'd better make you work for them!
I still don't know how to forward publish - I gave them a publishing date of 1 December but they appeared straight away so I retracted them - they didn't have coords then as they hadn't been hidden so no loss. But I don't know what went wrong. Was just going to publish them tomorrow morning to keep them for sensible folk who don't cache at midnight.

Quick question, I have 6 gnomes all currently in draft. All have been registered on the other website, if I don't publish they still stay hidden on the ladder until it does get published?

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Read the rules first.
Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2010 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time).
Good, now that we've established that, you can release your cache any time during the game period PROVIDED you PUBLISH it with a date of 1 December 2010. Make the HIDDEN date the same just so it will come up in the search for the GeGnome Project query.
Until that time, your gnome image will show "Failed to copy file".

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
First you need to create your cache on the GCA site. Create it as moveable cache.JABs wrote:Can any one point us to the link where and how and what we need to do to join this game? Have go onto the GeGnome project site but how and what do we need to do here on the GCA site?
Go to the caches tab and then scroll down to hide a cache.

Thanks tronador, just was not shore if there a special GCA thing to do? But but the sounds of it just list it as a movable GCA and that is that. I just thought there was something special to do like when we did the GCA 10 yrs caches.tronador wrote:First you need to create your cache on the GCA site. Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
Once you've listed the cache on GCA give it a hidden and publish date of 1 Dec then go to the Ge- gnome Project at caching games.... follow the link that Sam Walkers posted and join the game then create your listing there too. Use the GA no. that you got when you listed on GCA..... then tada..... you are part of the game but you need to hurry and hide your gnome in the next 6 hours if you want to be in the race from the beginning. The faeries take care of everything else after that!JABs wrote:Thanks tronador, just was not shore if there a special GCA thing to do? HEELLP! I plugged in the wrong GA code for my gnome in cachinggames.com (don't ask how! ) - should have been GA2838. How do I correct it!
