Camstal wrote:Just a suggestion....Maybe the admins can adapt a similar idea to Groundspeak with the 10 year anniversary event icon but create one and all the caches that are hidden on May 18 can receive that icon instead of a traditional, multi, puzzle etc. icon.

Just an Idea! :-k

Thanks,
Camstal
I won't change the icon as people use it to decide what sort of cache they are looking for.
However there will be an icon showing that it's a 10 year anniversary cache.

 Looks like I published the cache 2 months early
Since it has been viewed 14 times I think the easiest thing would be if I made this one an early birthday present and put together another one for the day.

I might go put it some where truly evil though to make up for my embarrassment.

FINALLY, this last fortnight I've been up South Brother three times in unkown preparation for placing the commerative cache today <a href="http://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA1879">L'il South Bro'</a>, which is a test of the cacher's fitness, before they head further up the hill.
Also placed: <a href="http://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA1878">Aerial Ballet</a> on Middle Brother, outside of NPWS controlled area.
Thanks for another excuse to get outside.

Hmmmm ... on May 18th I will be in Piano Di Coreglia in Italy.
I wonder how a GCA cache would go there. Possibly not a great idea.

:-k
I just had a thought, what about 10th Anniversary Swaggies?
Perhaps a way to increase the Swaggie population.

It might be an idea to include a Swaggie in 10th Anniversary caches, I have already placed 5 of these caches and it would be a bit of bother, but not too much, to go back and drop a swaggie in them, I might do that anyway!

Any thoughts?

I had thought I might make a couple of swaggies by ripping off the 10 Anniversary icon but I would have to make up the detail.
I thought moulded resin on an aluminium disk would work well.

Sounds very nice - I might have to drive to Canberra for the day on 18th. Or should I go to Lithgow? decisions, decisions! \:D/

The reason there is no Tasmanian representation on the board is that no-one in Tassie has hidden a cache for the anniversary yet!

I promise to hide 2, I can also promise they wont be 'easy' - but they will have GCA pathtags in them for the effort involved. Now to get the maps out - and try and figure out where I want to walk to. Still plenty of time :D
