Volunteer GCA Approvers/Reviewers needed
This is a call to our GCA Community members for assistance.
We would like to ask for a few volunteers to help with some of the day to day administration of the GCA website.
At the moment these tasks include:
* Approval of new new users (and deletion of spam accounts)
* Review of cache listings that have been flagged with 'Needs Archiving' logs, and archiving of those that need to be removed.
It's not a lot of work, in fact it just takes a few minutes a day usually, and it only involves a click or two.
As this role involves a couple of actions that include the power to delete new accounts and archiving of caches we will only be accepting nominations from people who both caughtatwork and myself consider to be of good standing in the Geocaching community. If you are a keen new member and want to put your hand up, thank you, but this is not the job for you.
If you log in to GCA daily to check caches or forums in your coffee break, this would be something you could do to help us!
(Archiving will be anonymised, so if you are worried about getting people offside don't let that put you off)
You will be given full instructions upon successful application.
Please help us to deliver a quality listing website run by the community, for the community.
PM me if you are interested in helping out.

That's better than a certain Melbourne data centre faired over the weekend.CraigRat wrote:My Inbox is on fire!

Thanks to everyone who has put their hand up. 15 individuals have graciously put their hands up to help, way more than I was expecting!!
We have some discussions to go thru and we'll let you know the outcome soon!

I'd like to that the people who put their hands up to help, there were over 15 willing participants.
We've discussed it and decided on the following people:
Damo.
firesafe
Snuva
Thanks again to everyone, it was a humbling thing to see so many eager people!
