XOE caches

Post by Cheesy pigs » 01 March 10 2:04 pm

I did search but couldn't find a thread devoted to this topic.

I have currently got half the coordinates for XOE Cache exchange and Geowalk and Geotalk. I am happy to swap these coords with anyone who has the coords for Geotalk listeners vs the XOE #2, Bordered, or Geotalking in the bush capital 2.

Cheers.

Just discovered this thread... I have a lot of the XoE coords - were you still after these?

I'm just wondering... Do any of the COs of these XOE caches want to keep these going by making the podcast clues available on a current active Australian podcast? I'm offering to place the clues in our podcast, The Geocaching Downunder Podcast. Look it up if you haven't discovered it yet. Also on YouTube.

Also, is there a full list, including archived, that we can look at to see if any have been archived simply due to lack of podcast access?

My cache lists the three episodes which are hosted at Geocaching Australia. The same three episodes are for all XoE caches.

You can reuse my clues if you like.

That's fantastic, and thank you for letting me reuse them. I think I would share the links to the original podcast and encourage people to listen to them there, but I could also share the audio of the clues in our podcast too. I'm really enjoying listening to the old podcast.

I was going to look at trying to get it all together in the next few months, but then noticed the hidden date... Maybe I could make a special episode about XOE and share both the new links to the website and the clues in July next year and we could encourage people across Australia to have an XOE adventure day on Saturday 8th August. I know you can't hold events on GC to go find a cache, but you could hold an event, say to have a picnic at a waterfall that is no longer accessible without a group tour-like booking, and people have the option to find the geocaches in the area after as usual (see public query "XOE etc - Lipps Falls" and bit.ly/2J7rGkw).

Your thoughts???

Well the podcast I was planning to showcase these on fell apart and died, but that doesn't mean the community can't hold XOE events on Saturday 8th August to celebrate this cache series. I'm planning that day to attempt finding the ones at Beechmont QLD and all the other GCA ones there too... depending on border restrictions, etc. It could be fun if a bunch of us attempted this together at each GZ and across the nation.

Hello,
I am having a spot of bother accessing the required podcasts for (XoE) Toot-Toot Tour https://coord.info/GC1CJQR
Episodes 31, 32 and 33. on https://www.podbean.com/podcast-detail/ ... lk-podcast
Is there another source I can use because I cannot get the podcast to play.
Any help appreciated.
Regards, Ian (Riddell)

I've made a list on Geocaching.com with the new links in the list description. Let me know if any links don't work.
