How good are the Angus Burgers at Mcdonalds
How good are the Angus Burgers at Mcdonalds
I reckon their excellent!
I met up with this man in Sydney one afternoon, I know him because he works at maccas in Taree and he said that macdonalds is trying to meet up with the demand.
He also said the Mac Donalds managers are trying too get it permanetly on the menu.

I reckon they are good but expensive for what you get!! You can get twice the size with more salad from the local hamburger shop.

I also tried one and was not over fussed. What a waste of good beef the way they have to process it to make it a special maccas burger.

I haven't had one. But come on, it's maccas, really how good could it be?
Re: How good are the Angus Burgers at Mcdonalds
I have had 2 and thought that they were not too bad at all. Will not be having any more though, just don't flip the box over and look at the fat content. Half the daily recommended intake by memory.
Actually:
p.s. My wife (Di) was not that keen. Thought they tasted too fatty.

I only go to McDonalds for the free Wi-Fi, when the home internet connection is out. I cant imagine why else you'd want to go there.

The ice cream is pretty decent after a hot day's caching

I can't vote on this. I've been inside this icon of Merkin cultural imperialism exactly twice in my life. The second time I was, quite literally, carried in kicking and screaming. I was 19!

What, so only a couple of years ago?Papa Bear_Left wrote:I can't vote on this. I've been inside this icon of Merkin cultural imperialism exactly twice in my life. The second time I was, quite literally, carried in kicking and screaming. I was 19!
I haven't personally tried the Grand Angus, but I got a Mighty Angus just a couple of days ago. Got home and took it out of it's pretty box and it stank so much that I didn't even eat it...
Re: How good are the Angus Burgers at Mcdonalds
I haven't been near a McDonalds in years but have just got myself a netbook and when in the town (35km away from home) where there is one I have been parking in their carpark and using the free wi-fi.
I had a typing job that was urgently needed by a client and I picked up the job on my way through my local town and typed it up and emailed back from McDonalds.
While there I decided I would try the Angus Burger. I couldn't taste anything different about it to their 'normal' cheeseburgers. Yes it was thicker and the bun was a different one but really not worth the extra paid for it. I remember thinking at the time that it was a waste of good beef for just mincemeat after all.

Well as a cockatiel, I haven't tried them yet.
Neither have my owners.
But I heard from Junior and DaBoss that the Big Mac Meal Deals are delicious and the icecreams are Yuuuuumy!
They like the icecreams best when they're nice and creamy and you can taste the sugar.
Kids! The seeds on the buns are fine enough for me!

Had the misfortune of having one of these tonight. I say that increasing the thickness of the cardboard, that they call a meat pattie, does not make them taste any better.

Re: How good are the Angus Burgers at Mcdonalds
In my opinion, the best feature of Maccas for the out and about cacher is the toilets.
Someone has pointed out to me some interesting aspects of the wording on the bag his burger was presented in
“prime Angus beef burgers are made from 100% Australian beef, sourced from Aussie farmers” …. Well it looks like they’re not flying in any imported cows to process into their Angus burgers.
“The Angus beef burger range feature(s) tender, thick and juicy, Angus beef patties that are independently verified by Certified Australian Angus Beef”
Now does this mean that the thick and fatty reconstituted patties are independently verified as (it doesn’t say what) by an Aussie cow with a birth certificate?

Next time you yearn for a Maccas or HJs, and your passing your local cafe or take away, stop and have a hamburger there. Chances are, you will then realise the total garbage we have been coerced into believing is food. And most probably the cost will be equal to, or less than the cost of the stuff from the fast 2.
