Mine is to get out and travel, get out of the house and see the sights ect, geocaching is a bonus.

I like the thrill of finding a well hidden cache, a great view is also a bonus.
And despite some cachers disliking the numbers game, I think that is fun too.
Just ask Team Casho!

Ok I have to admit, I'm a bit fired up about the whole numbers thing. It's a real pity that there are not more caches in my area.

I must be the first person to plan two hides before even getting a found hehe, already have half of the first assembled.

When we first started I jokingly called it "Health by Stealth" and it isn't far from the truth especially as we have plenty of hills around that local cachers love climbing to the top of to place there little pieces of tupperware, or lovely bush walks that they walk to the end of before placing the container. Now the kilos that we have lost has been replaced by the extra contents in the backpack.

I participate in this activity for the fun of it. It gets me to places I have never been. As I work a fairly lengthy roster I love to be able to do something different and my stress levels reduce for a day or two until I have another roster cycle that sometimes increase these levels again.

Yeah that will do for me too!

I do like finding the hidden gems though - places you'd never know about without geocaching - Sydney is full of them.

I mainly cache during the holidays on the usual school holiday family trip. Or if in the work car.
Motivation to stretch the brain with puzzles (failing at this !!) ,breaks up a long car journey, takes you places you didnt even know were there (always interesting!!) . Great excuse to feed my need to buy gadgets

Fun.

If I'm not enjoying my day's caching nowadays, I'll stop and go do something else.

Ditto AND finding hidden gems away form home is special too.

I have particularly loved the challenge of the last couple of caching games.
This can really challenge you and get you out of your comfort zone. :D :D

A bit of a mixture - something to do as a family group :D with partner & geo-daughter of by myself when no-one else is interested :)
A bit of mental & physical challenge rather than sitting watching the tube of working @ home :-k , also gets everyone away from the PC & out in the fresh air.... =D>
