2009 Cyber Flash Mob Topic “Positive Caching Experience”

Catching or been court by other cachers out in the wild. The odds of meeting others doing the same thing at the same time is priceless.

The whole Geocaching Australia community getting together to break our shiny new server
Actually, just getting out there and meeting new people, whether at a planned event or 'in the wild'. It's fun and exciting and you never know if you're going to be questioned as a suspect or it's just some other loony looking for a plastic box.

We really love the places that we have been to and have seen that we just wouldn't have been to without caching.
A very close second is the people that we have met, so many different walks of life, not always seeing eye to eye but brought together by a love of the same thing. We have met lifelong friends!

One of my most positive caching experiences was meeting the Alchin caching team in Adelaide earlier this year with Konie. So nice to meet such nice people and to share a nice cool afternoon drink with them too. It made our day and trip.

I do Like it when we bump into muggles and due to them showing an interest or us being caught, we take the time to explain and often you see a little light go on and they ask for more information, I have taken to carrying Muggle cards with the websites on it so they can look it up at home later.

Our good caching experience is getting out there - but this increases with watching the geokids battle each other to get to the cache first!

Celebrating RexTrex and Zsazsa7's milestones with Winglen and a glass of champagne in the middle of Namadgi was certainly a positive experience.

Caching takes me to interesting places, including unfamiliar gems in places I thought I knew. This happened on the weekend with my 700th ("Handsome Cave" http://coord.info/GC1H4D9) ... and it was done with good company too.

Positive caching, well, the whole thing has been one great experiance, only been in for four months and have been places i wouldn't have dreamed of, meet interesting people, had my brain strained (yes that is a good thing), etc, etc. It is all positive....

My positive experience is solving one of the more difficult puzzles that we have here in Canberra, as well as meeting cachers in the wild.

Positive Experience - rediscovering child-like fun - scrabbling under bushes, climbing trees, hiking 30 km, climbing mountains, FTFing at midnight in the middle of nowhere, getting out and about in so many new places

A positive caching experience for me was to have the opportunity to meet up with the Podcacher crew (Sonny, Sandy and Sean) during my recent trip to the US.
They ooze enthusiasm for geocaching and getting the message across for all to hear.
Great concept for a cache and it has been fun to be part of it and look forward to reading all the experiences.

I like the fact that cachers place a cache in an area that they like, so they can share it with others.
Re: 2009 Cyber Flash Mob Topic “Positive Caching Experience”
My positive is to get out and see new places and marvel at some of the clever caches out there!

Am I too late? Is everyone here? Is it tonight?
Caching takes me to places I would otherwise have never been!
Caching brought me here.
