you are taken to a log in page and get told you need a "Cacher Name"
Which I already have. There is no option on that page to log in.
Hope that makes sense

John
As above.
Updated cacher name in GCA account. No change.
User and cacher names look OK this end but I can't get into the menu items under "My" tab (
Beta version) for a play, or into "Caches" > "Hide a cache".
Should this be a concern at the present?

I'll also look at the update of my/settings which appear not to be sticking.

Published a new cache listing ("Beta test. On the Dumaresq") on the Beta site and tried to "Send to GPS" (Garmin GPSmap 60CSx).
No-go, and got the following error info. in the "Send to GPS" window (copy and pasted):
Send to GPS is for Garmin GPS receivers only and is currently in BETA test. Please report any abnomal behaviour in the forums.
The plug-in was not unlocked successfully
Devices:
Powered by Garmin Communicator
"Find Devices","Write","Cancel Write" buttons were greyed out.
Upload of a GCA cache on the GCA site seemed to work OK (edit: after following some prompts to allow the communication).
Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry , that's another known issue.
The Garmin Communicator requires an API key to use and we didn't bother getting one for the test site.
It will work fine when the domain name is corrected after migration.
Good find though.

I've found out what was causing the information in my/settings to be missing. There were two missing columns (mobile and daily update) which was causing the query to fail.
The columns have been added so should now be able to update your my/settings if you are missing your cacher name.
Forum stars are an issue due to being between machines, but they'll get fixed once we have migrated.

Google Maps from the beta site don't have a green indicator for found caches. Well for mine anyway.

I'll guess is just a pre-cutover data issue, but thought I mention anyway.

EDIT: Forget this. I can't log in at the moment. So of course this won't work.

The stats seem nice and fast on the new site. Good work.

It's most likely to do with the testing etc that you are doing today, but just to let you know. I had the same issue today that we had the first time we all tried to logon to the beta site. cure was to logon to the forums first then back on to the beta site.

Yes. We did another trial DB migration which unset those same values.

No biggies:
1. I am still getting the error message referred to below.
nomad_penguin wrote:This may be one of the things NOT to report, but I am getting this error on my profile page. (Compare
existing site with
beta site.)
2. I presume that the new faeries haven't been fed yet? The dashboard says that I have found 10 more this month than I actually have (I think) and my cacher page says that I have found 19 fewer in total than I actually have.
