First Geotalk for 2009 online

Post by The Spindoctors » 06 January 09 11:17 am

Hear about LordBritish's geocache under the sea and travel bug in space, The Spindoctors find Victoria's oldest geocache and Searchwise015 tells us about geocaching in Far North Queensland.

Head to http://www.geotalkpodcast.com or iTunes store.

Love to hear any stories, greeting, etc. Call (02) 800 50 436 anytime of the day. All calls for the month of January go into the barrel to win a shiny Geotalk GOLD geocoin.

Maybe they need a new level. Titanium.

Looking forward to a big year with Geotalk. A new segment in the wings and more competitions.

Pssst...join the Facebook group.

The only problem is on facebook you need to use real name so its hard to link peoples names to their cacher names. Or is there a trick? :D

If you join the FaceBook group "Geocaching Australia" there is a discussion "Caching names vs. Real Name" - lots of faces for names we all know!<p>

BTW Muggle friend I introduced to the game yesterday was ENORMOUSLY impressed when I told her that there was a cache at the bottom of the Atlantic and a TB on the ISS - Geotalk is SO informative!

Must be time for SpinDoc Bob visit to SA, to drink some wine in the Clare valley and then head off down to the Yorke Peninsula to Wallaroo for a feed of fish
Fantastic interview with Dave. What great terms "G&D time" and "Dido" too
Cheers and Thanks 8)

Sounds like a plan. I intend to visit NT, SA and WA to round out my caching states. Later in the year, I'll be looking at some cheap airfares and hoping to venture out.

Could I claim it as a tax deduction I wonder?

Another great episode, very well done. Particularly enjoyed the commentary on Lord British's TBs and Searchwise's comments regarding the little green and yellow markers on the map... I can relate! :)

Out of interest, have you ever worked in radio?

Thank you for the kind comments.

Worked in community radio for about six years during Uni. Still help out at 2SER in Sydney.

Must admit that I do a number of science segments for ABC Local radio. Sorry to those in the mid-North Coast and Central West of NSW.

I shouldn't admit all that, as I'm not that good at times. I should practice more.
