OT - What About A Cache Up Here

Check out this pathway. Imagine a cache at the end.

What would the terrain rating be, and would you go for it?

There's an earthcache there:

I don't think it requires you to traverse the path though!

That's probably one the coolest tracks I've seen. I would definitely go up, although having the right gear would be essential. Great video.

Cool video, and certainly a great path with fantastic views! I'd do it no problem. Yes the path has fallen into disrepair a bit, but it can be walked,
no abseiling or prussiking gear needed, and there's a guide wire in most places I saw, so I'd rate it maybe 4.5 for the scare factor. If there was
a cache at the end I'd certainly log it. Can you imagine the fun they had building that path?

I got sweaty palms just watching the video so that's definitely a NO from me too!

Then again, if it meant logging a 5 terrain cache...

I'd go up there for sure, but I would probably use that safety cable where available.

Hell yeah. Dream come true hike. However you might want to be quick, local government is looking at repairing it and having the path re-opened. (Been closed for a few years now.)

Absolutely terrific video! I'd walk the path - no problem about the height but the safety factor is (was) an issue! Not surprised that it has been closed for a while. thanks muzza.

I had seen the video a month or so back. Pretty freaky. But if I was visiting the area would consider it, except I don't tend to go into closed areas. So if it was signposted closed I wouldn't. If it was open I would.

Hmmm, wonder if there is a signpost at the other end? Have done some serious terrain places before I wouldn't have been if not for caching. But if it is open it is game.

Looks cool though. And yes, glad I didn't have to build the thing!

Remarkably cool. But very dangerous!

I wonder if that cameraman was attached to the wire?
