Travel bugs

I'm interested to get peoples thoughts on returning to a cache that you've already done, simply to pick up a travel bug thats been left by another cacher.

I'm undecided whether its right or wrong!

I see no problem with it. You can pick up a bug even if you leave a note on the site.

I don't have a problem with it. I have done that and done cache maintenance as well.

I've certainly gone back to leave one, when mine was the closest and I knew I wouldn't get a chance to leave it somewhere new for a few days.

Especially fine to grab one if it has a mission that matches up with somewhere you are going as well.

I admit that I have dropped off bugs from out of town in one of my caches to get them moving in Canberra, check the status of my cache and encourage newbies (or otherwise) to visit it.

And the answer to your original question...only if I'm about to head out of town to help it move on.

It's also an excellent excuse to revisit a cache that you particularly enjoy.

Certainly doesn't give me a problem. If I am travelleing interstate I have a look around the local caches to see what is handy.

Gives a bug a boost and you get a chance to revisit and read the notes.

Ever noticed that the notes in the books are different to the logs on the screeen?

The logs are different so that there aren't too mant spoilers on the cache page . There again if you are reading Maccamobs logs they are identical. I have to admit I love to read the log books just because they are different.
