Re: Mid-Year Mystery Madness Month
Well I'm enjoying myself
Some very nice puzzles out there at the moment.
When I get my final co-ordinates confirmed I then update the "Corrected Co-ordinates" on the cache page. That does a few things.
Will use the "Corrected Co-ordinates" in any GPX file I request.
It shows me the two maps (published location and the new "Corrected Co-ordinates" location) on the cache page.
When I check out a map I will see the original and the "Corrected Co-ordinates" on the map (the "Corrected Co-ordinates" have a small yellow map marker to the top left of the icon)
When I view the caches in a list I get a small yellow map marker to the top left of the icon and that tells me I have "Corrected Co-ordinates" so I know I've solved it.
I'm not going to rush it too much, but usually I don't do mystery caches, but these are fun

I’m enjoying the puzzles too - theres a good variety so far. I’m not going to rush through them all too quickly, it’ll be fun project to chip away at slowly or spend some time at them on a cold weekend.
It’s fun working on other people puzzles in areas that aren’t to close to home too - normally I don’t really look at puzzles to far away unless I know I’m travelling there. That may change now!

I've solved a couple. There's some really good ideas in there. I noticed a couple of people are posting notes when solved - is that something we are meant to do or can just choose to do? Personally I enjoy seeing that people have solved my puzzles and it helps me know that they aren't too difficult.

I did it to let the CO know that I've solved their puzzle. I think it's nice to let the CO know. You're not required to. I just like it.

A nice idea to comment.
Can I just ask if there needs to be a correction or something changed, can a note be added to cache page please. I have just seen something different on a cache page to what I printed out early this morning. Hopefully I can now solve it.

I know almost anything goes hiding GCA caches but I just want to check...
There's no distance rule for where you pin a mystery cache, right? I could set is coordinates anywhere?

Re: Mid-Year Mystery Madness Month
Correct .. BUT it's nicer to indicate the general area.
We have had folks in the past pin it in a state to get a milestone but the cache is 2 states away. Think about what would annoy you. To have a mystery cache 2km up the road and know it's actually in (say) Darwin?
Play the game how you would like to have it played with you.

Re: Mid-Year Mystery Madness Month
I'm not sure anyone is going to see this here because not many people are replying to posts in the forums these days, but,
I've added a new log to each of my mmmm caches with additional hints to help people solve them during game period.

Re: Mid-Year Mystery Madness Month
I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed the mmmm games. It was great to solve puzzles in other states as well as in my own state. Thanks to everyone who published caches for us to solve and find. A big thank you to the admin faeries who kept the wheels turning behind the scenes.
